What is a static bar and what do you need one for?

A static bar is a freestanding bar built for static strength training with your own body weight. Unlike a doorway pull-up bar it stands free in the room, adjusts in height and leaves you clear space in front of and behind the bar. That clearance is exactly what front lever and back lever demand, since your body sits horizontal to the bar. Drop the height and the same frame covers body rows, support holds and controlled dips. The Static Bar gives you at home what you would otherwise need a calisthenics park for.

8 height settings that follow your progression

Height is what determines how hard an exercise is. In the lower settings body rows sit at a steeper angle and stay accessible, further up the angle flattens out and the same movement gets considerably harder. Front lever progressions need the height back so your body hangs clear of the floor. The DIE RINGE Static Bar gives you 8 settings from 85 to 120 cm in 5 cm increments, adjusted with two locking knobs and no tools at all. You change the height between sets in seconds and work through increasingly demanding progressions on the same bar for months.

A front lever bar built for statics

Static skills need a bar that does not move. Every bit of wobble costs you body tension and makes clean hold times impossible. The Static Bar sits on two wide base feet reinforced with additional connecting plates, transferring load into the floor across a broad footprint. As a front lever bar it gives you the clearance underneath to work through tuck, advanced tuck, straddle and full front lever without touching the ground.

Who is the Static Bar actually for?

The Static Bar is for anyone moving past the calisthenics basics. If pull-ups and dips are solid and you are now working towards front lever or back lever, a freestanding bar is the logical next piece of equipment. It also works as a starting point: body rows in a high setting are one of the best preparations for a first pull-up. If pull-ups are your main goal, a doorway pull-up bar will serve you better. For ring work, pair the Static Bar with gymnastic rings on a separate anchor point, since nothing may be attached to the bar itself.
